PLATTEVILLE, Wis.– The University of Wisconsin-Platteville’s Master of Science Criminal Justice program has reached a credit transfer agreement with Northwestern University’s School of Police Staff and Command (SPSC). The partnership allows graduates of the police management program to transfer specific completed course credits to UW-Platteville’s MSCJ degree program.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for our students to gain even deeper insight into the criminal justice field through the eyes of others,” said Program Director Cheryl Banachowski-Fuller. “It’s also a great way for those in the SPSC program to reach their educational goals and, ultimately, become better leaders and law enforcement professionals.”
The UW-Platteville master’s in criminal justice program already has transfer agreements with the American Military University Homeland Security, UW- Madison, U.S. Department of Defense and Fox Valley Technical College Criminal Justice Executive Development Institute. Besides being highly-credentialed, the program’s faculty brings extensive experience to keep the curriculum relevant to the changing demands of the criminal justice field.
Students of the SPSC taking courses tagged for credit transfer can benefit from the agreement, as well as students who will take the courses beginning this fall.
