PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville, an accredited pioneer in distance learning for 33 years, has expanded its credit transfer agreement with Lakeshore Technical College, Cleveland, Wis. The UW-Platteville has added constitutional law and criminal law to its list of courses that will transfer to its bachelor's degree program from Lakeshore's Criminal Justice - Law Enforcement program. Graduates of the program can take advantage of the new agreement starting this fall.
“Increasing the number of transferable courses from two to four demonstrates the commitment by both our institutions to students,” said Amy Nemmetz, coordinator for UW-Platteville’s undergraduate criminal justice program. “And it’s our responsibility to provide them whether they’re online or on-campus, with every opportunity to succeed. This does just that.”
Besides being highly-credentialed, UW-Platteville criminal justice faculty brings extensive experience to keep the curriculum relevant to the changing demands of the field. Students enrolled in courses at Lakeshore tagged for credit transfer can benefit from the agreement, as well as those who will take the courses this fall.
The UW-Platteville bachelor’s in criminal justice program already has transfer agreements with Blackhawk Technical College, Chippewa Valley Technical College, Fox Valley Technical College, Gateway Technical College, Iowa Central Community College, Madison Area Technical College, Mid-State Technical College, Milwaukee Area Technical College, Moraine Park Technical College, Nicolet Area Technical College, Northcentral Technical College, Northeast Iowa Community College, Northeast Wisconsin Technical College, Southwest Wisconsin Technical College, Waukesha County Technical College, Western Wisconsin Technical College, and Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College.
